With only four weeks to go we are now in the final stages of preparation for the first ever Civic Voice Convention and AGM. The Convention and AGM will be a significant journey for the future of the civic movement and is being held at the Great Northern Hotel, Peterborough and is being hosted by Peterborough Civic Society. Delegates have so far been confirmed from as far north of Alnwick to as far south as Cornwall
The event will run from 1pm on the Friday until approx 4pm on the Saturday. All civic societies are and our partners are invited to this unique and historical occasion. In partnership with Peterborough Civic Society and Opportunity Peterborough we are planning a series of guided walks and tours around Peterborough, as well as a visit to Stamford, the home of the first urban conservation area.
We are planning an exciting programme including opportunities to shape Civic Voice's priorities and to meet the Board, including our Chair, Paula Ridley. Further details will be provided through updates of the website and in email bulletins. If you have any ideas for making the AGM a success then please let us know at info@civicvoice.org.uk.
The registration fee is £20 which makes a contribution to costs. Places are limited so book your place as soon as possible. The official AGM business on Saturday morning is free to attend, although you still need to book to attend.
